Erie Shores South Catholic Family of Parishes Prayer Shawl Ministry Circle Did you know that our Family of Parishes creates Prayer Shawls to offer to anyone requesting one? If you know of anyone who is struggling, who is undergoing medical procedures and treatments, anyone in hospice/end of life care, anyone who has just given birth or is celebrating a happy occasion, please consider giving them a Prayer Shawl. They are created in a prayerful environment by a wonderful group of people who craft them with love and care. All of our prayer shawls have The Green Scapular sewn into them. The Green Scapular is a single piece of green felt and braid with an image of Mary on one side and Her Immaculate Heart pierced by a sword on the other side. Every prayer shawl with The Green Scapular is blessed by one of our priests before given to the recipient. Please contact Sandy at (519) 326-2643 ext. 229 or sfoldesi@dol.ca for more information on receiving or requesting a shawl. For more information on The Green Scapular visit www.greenscapular.com. A retreat for those grieving the loss of a loved one and needing help to cope during the holiday season. Saturday, November 27 at St. John de Brebeuf OR Saturday, December 4 at St. Michael From 9:00 am to Noon The day will include time for prayer, reflection, sharing stories about our loved ones and providing tools to help manage the holidays without those we love. There is no cost to attend but spaces are limited. If interested, please register by calling the office at 519-326-2643 and stating which retreat you will be attending.
