Pictures from the Domingas (Crownings) This Portuguese tradition stems back to Queen Isabella of Portugal. She had a strong devotion to the Holy Spirit and had a great love of children and those who were poor. She was well known for helping and feeding the poor. Once a year, to make the children feel special, she would allow them to wear her crown and ask the Holy Spirit to come down on them. In the pictures, we see the NET Team being crowned. May the Holy Spirit continue to bless them and use them to build up God's kingdom. More information on the beginnings of this beautiful tradition is found on the attached bio.
