RegistrationRegistration for Confirmation
Please read everything carefully as you sign up.
Thank you!
Welcome to the Confirmation program. Confirmation is the third of the church’s three sacraments of initiation. Baptism is the first, when we receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We become members of the Christian community. Second is Eucharist. In Confirmation we receive a strengthening of the gifts bestowed on us at Baptism.
Confirmation calls a new generation into the vision and purpose of the Christian community. It teaches us how to live a full and rich life as disciples of Christ, and how we can help make the world a better place for everyone!
Due to the Covid-19 situation, Confirmation preparation is entirely in-home study this year. The program includes online videos and journaling in the workbook. The Confirmation program offers you and the sponsor the unique opportunity to join your child as he or she journeys through the Catholic faith.
A vital part of living your faith life is attending Mass. Candidates for Confirmation should have a firm sense of their responsibility as Catholics to attend Mass every Sunday (under normal circumstances). When the lockdown is over, we invite you to attend Mass in person by registering online (the registration link is on our main page). If you are unable or do not feel safe at this time to attend, we now livestream the Mass as well, which is an excellent temporary measure until the pandemic is over.
Once we have received your registration you will receive an email with more program information. If you have any questions please feel free to email our Pastoral Minister, Dianne O’Neill at doneill@dol.ca.
