First Communion

Registration for First Reconciliation & Communion

Please read everything carefully as you sign up.

Thank you!

Welcome to this year’s preparation program for your child’s First Reconciliation (Confession) and First Communion.

Preparation this year is done online through a workbook and craft package. Celebrating a sacrament for the first time is an important step in your child’s daily faith journey.  Together you and your child will complete the program at home, before celebrating the sacrament.

This time spent together in preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion will help your child grow in the knowledge of these sacraments and understand the great mercy and love God has for us all.

A vital part of living your faith life is attending Mass.  We invite you to attend Mass in person by registering online (the registration link is on our main page).  If you are unable or do not feel safe at this time to attend, we now livestream the Mass as well.  We also have a family faith series called Family Faith and Fun on YouTube. Click the link to check it out!

We are deeply committed to helping your child grow in faith and in understanding God’s forgiveness and, God’s great love for us.  You will receive more program information by email once you have registered.  If you have any questions please feel free to email our Pastoral Minister, Dianne O’Neill at

Registration Deadline: December 14, 2020

You can pick up your workbook and crafts on December 19:

  • at St. Michael’s Parish from 9 – 11am
  • or at St. John de Brebeuf Parish from 1 – 3pm

Sessions begin January 4, 2021.

Step 1: Sign up for Updates, Notifications & Information:

Information regarding your child’s Sacraments will be sent through Flocknote. In order for us to notify you and provide the details you need to know, please click here to register for our First Reconciliation / First Communion notification group on Flocknote. (The link will open a new window/tab. You can close it and return to this form when you’re done).

Once you have registered for updates through Flocknote, you may fill out the registration information below.

Step 2: Fill out the Registration Form:

    Your Child's Details:

(please fill in all the fields)

(You can skip this if your child was baptized at St. Michael's or St. Joseph's in Leamington, at St. John de Brebeuf in Kingsville, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Wheatley, or at Our Lady, Star of the Sea on Pelee Island).
(Take a picture or scan the baptismal certificate and select it from here. Only image and pdf files accepted)

    Parental Contact Information:

(may leave blank if same address as child)

(may leave blank if same address as child)

    Custody of the Child:

(to be answered only if the parents are separated)

(Take a picture or scan the custody form and select it from here. Only image and pdf files accepted)

    Parish Registration:

Are you already a member of one of our parishes?

Formally registering at a parish is a useful practice - like being formally registered with a primary physician. It allows our office to better serve you and your family. You also remain free to attend Mass at other parishes, and we won't spam you with communication. We encourage all families receiving sacraments in our parish to formally register. It is not a condition to be able to receive the Sacraments, but it is preferred.

A payment is required to cover the cost of the workbook and materials.

(Once you submit, a spinning wheel will appear. If you are sending large files it may take a little bit, so please wait until the confirmation message appears)
