Salt and Light Television
Canada’s Catholic Network
High quality programming with three things in common:
• 100% Catholic
• Inviting and hopeful
• Based on core Catholic theology, the Magisterium and Tradition of the Church
Inspiring Catholic programming:
• Prayer, meditation and devotion
• Multilingual Catholic liturgy (including significant Vatican ceremonies)
• Learning and faith development for all ages
• Stories of Catholic action and social justice throughout Canada and around the Globe
• Catholic perspective – information and context
Daily Mass is available 4 times per day. Salt + Light Television currently has about 50% Canadian content. It is Canada’s first Catholic television network broadcasting 24/7 across Canada. Our programming has 100% Catholic content. Salt + Light is endorsed by national and international Catholic leaders and organizations, including the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Vatican Television Centre (CTV), many departments of the Vatican, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, to name a few. What can Salt + Light Television do for me? As a Catholic, it is a place of retreat and faith connection. It will build on the enthusiasm created by World Youth Day 2002 and help move all Catholics forward in their roles. It will be the reflector of local Catholic communities with stories of Catholic action and social justice. It will become one of the new tools of sharing the Catholic faith and evangelizing.
